2021, Please behave

There’s something refreshing about a new year. It’s as if mentally everyone tries to hit a reset button. After the type of year that 2020 was for some people, I know there are probably high hopes for 2021 but like everything in life I say “Be easy”
Personally I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself, it’s the perfectionist in me but I am learning and somewhat being forced to slow down and give myself grace in everything. I was excited to finally tap into some creative content. I took a step back previously so it felt great to get back into it. Funny story, I was supposed to shoot with a friend and last minute they were unable to make it. I was already dressed and ready so I said to myself the show must go on! Shorts made by yours truly

The shorts pictured here were sewn by myself 8 years ago when I went to University of South Florida. I took a theatre class and part of the course was sewing, we made shorts and a beret. I never actually wore these shorts or talked about it because they weren’t perfect and I didn’t like how they fit me. Now that I gained some weight they fit perfectly and I mustered up the courage to confidently rock them. I’m not one to talk about all of my goals for the general public because sometimes those things are personal. I would say that I am feeling very optimistic about the goals I set out for myself and I already have some future endeavors in the making. One goal I do want to share is that I want to get into fashion a bit more. Fashion has always been something I enjoy but I feel like I’ve never been able to really focus on. As a model and creator I want to further cultivate what my style is so I am looking forward to doing that in the new year.
I hope that everyone has a prosperous and blessed new year and that everything they set out to do they are able to achieve.
